As a member of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, the Kelowna Chiefs Hockey Club is focused on building long-term success from a foundation of honesty, commitment and contribution.
Hi, my name is Tegan Neuman and I am 16 years old. I was born on April 4th, 2004 in Calgary, Alberta at the Rockyview hospital, but moved to Okotoks, Alberta when I was 1 year old. I grew up playing minor hockey in Okotoks until my first year of Bantam where I went to the Edge School and played in the CSSHL. Following my Edge season I moved to West Kelowna to play for Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy. I played Bantam Prep my first year and then Elite 15’s my second year. I started the 2020-2021 season with Rink Kelowna, but made the decision to make the move to the Kelowna Chiefs. I attended their main camp and loved the experience and the challenge of it, so when I had the opportunity to play with the team I couldn’t say no. The reason that I decided to make this move as a younger player, was to get more experience playing with and against stronger and more physical players. This has definitely improved my game, as I have to be more aware of my surroundings and make faster decisions. My goal is to make the jump to JR A and then go on to the NCAA.
